Welcome to Zenia Car Rental. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility Requirements
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old.
The driver must hold a valid driving license (local or international).
The license must have been held for at least 1 year.
The renter must provide valid identification (passport or national ID).
2. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
A 25% deposit or full payment is required for the booking to get confirmed.
If paid a 25% deposit, the remaining balance must be paid upon delivery.
Accepted payment methods: Cash (Mauritian rupees or Euros) | Credit/Debit card.
3. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit will sometimes be required before the rental begins.
The deposit will be returned after the vehicle is inspected and no damages or violations are found.
Zenia Car Rental reserves the right to deduct costs for damages, fines, or additional charges.
4. Vehicle Usage
The renter agrees: to use the vehicle only for lawful purposes; not to sub-rent or transfer the vehicle to another person; not to use the vehicle for racing, towing, or off-road driving unless authorized; and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
5. Insurance and Liability
All vehicles are covered by basic insurance as per Mauritian regulations.
The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by insurance or exceeding coverage limits.
In case of an accident, the renter must notify Zenia Car Rental immediately and report the incident to the nearest police station.
6. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned at the same level. If not, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel.
7. Rental Period
The rental period begins and ends as stated in the agreement. Late returns may incur additional charges. Extensions must be requested and approved in advance.
8. Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection services may be available at an additional cost. The renter must be present with valid documents at the time of delivery.
9. Fines and Penalties
The renter is fully responsible for any traffic fines, parking violations, or legal penalties incurred during the rental period.
10. Vehicle Condition
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received. Any damage, excessive dirt, or missing items may result in additional charges.
11. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 24 to 48 hours before rental may be eligible for a refund. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in partial or full charges.
12. Breakdown and Assistance
In case of breakdown, contact Zenia Car Rental immediately. Unauthorized repairs are not allowed without prior approval.
13. Termination of Rental
Zenia Car Rental reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if terms are violated, the vehicle is misused, or false information was provided.
14. Privacy Policy
Your personal information will be used only for booking and legal purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any disputes will be handled under Mauritian jurisdiction.
